The Norway Rocks (literally translated from English Norway rocks ) are reef rocks of an unclear geographical location in the Antarctic Ross Sea . Allegedly they are 6 km south of Bernacchi Head on Franklin Island .
The British polar explorer James Clark Ross discovered it in 1841. The Norwegian polar explorer Carsten Egeberg Borchgrevink named it in the course of his Southern Cross Expedition (1898–1900).
