history
Apostolic Church, rebuilt in 1963
The name of the small suburb goes back to the Norwell sugar plantation , which the farmer William Pidd ran there in the 1870s. At that time there was a narrow-gauge track system for the transport of sugar cane , a state school and one building each for a Lutheran and an Apostolic Church . Today only the building of the Apostolic Church reminds of this past.
