Notburga Astleitner (born January 5, 1958 in Bad Kreuzen ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and district school inspector. Astleitner was a member of the Austrian Federal Council from October 2009 to July 2012 and then a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament until 2015 .

education and profession

Astleitner attended elementary school in Bad Kreuzen from 1964 to 1968 and then from 1968 to 1972 the secondary school in Grein . She then graduated from the Music and Pedagogical Realgymnasium (BORG) in Perg between 1972 and 1976 and then studied from 1976 to 1979 to be a teacher for secondary schools in the subjects of German and history at the Federal Education Academy in Upper Austria. As a result, she was employed as a secondary school teacher in Waldhausen from 1979 to 2004 , and in 2004 she took over the office of district school inspector for the Perg district .

politics

Astleitner was a member and substitute member of the municipal council of the market town of Waldhausen and is a member of the regional party executive committee of the ÖVP Upper Austria. Between 1998 and 2004 she also held the function of district chairwoman of the Christian State Teachers' Association of Upper Austria (CLV) in the Perg district and is a member of the executive committee of the CLV Upper Austria. Astleitner represented the ÖVP in the Federal Council from October 23, 2009 to July 6, 2012 and then moved to the Upper Austrian state parliament.

Awards

In 2012 she was awarded the Culture Medal of the State of Upper Austria.
