Nothing's Carved In Stone is a J-rock band from Japan . Shin'ichi Ubukata, who is the guitarist of the band Ellegarden , founded the band in January 2009. The members are Shin'ichi Ubukata ( 生 形 真 一 , Ubukata Shin'ichi ; guitar and vocals), Hidekazu Hianata ( 日 向 秀 和 , Hinata Hidekazu ; Bass), Takanori Okita ( 大喜 多 崇 規 , Okita Takanori ; drums), Taku Muramatsu ( 村 松 拓 , Muramatsu Taku ; guitar and vocals).

Band history

On May 6, 2009, their first album, Parallel Lives, was released on the Dynamord record label . In the first week, the album reached number 11 on the Oricon charts. This was followed by the album tour Parallel Lives and Nothing's Carved In Stone played in some cities in Japan on May 29, 2009. In July 2009 their Polypoid tour took place, after which the band played at festivals such as the Rock Japan Festival and Summer Sonic in Hitachinaka , the Chiba Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe . Their first single Around The Clock was released on December 9th, and their Rigid Clocks tour also took place. The single reached number 21.

In 2012 they switched to the record company EPIC Records . With their single Out of Control they entered the top ten for the first time in 9th place. On August 15, 2015, the major debut album Silver Sun was released. It reached number 11 on the Oricon charts.
