Nothnegal is a Maldivian melodic death metal band from Malé that was formed in 2006.

history

The band was formed in 2006 by guitarist Hilarl and guitarist and singer Fufu after they left their previous band Mortuary. The cousins tried different line-ups in the band until the first EP Antidote of Realism was released on the Internet in 2009 . The EP was produced by Anssi Kippo from Finland . In April 2009 the band got a permanent line-up after drummer Kevin Talley and keyboardist Marco Sneck joined the band. Then began work on the debut album. In 2010 the band went on a European tour with Finntroll and Rotting Christ . The tour included appearances in 25 cities in 12 countries. As a result, Season of Mist became aware of the band, about which the debut album Decadence was released in late January 2012.

style

The band plays melodic death metal reminiscent of the early works of In Flames and Dark Tranquility .
