The Nouvelles de la République des Lettres (NRL) is a scientific journal published by the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Filosofici . It has been published in two issues a year by Prismi Editrice in Naples since 1981 .

The name of the magazine goes back to the literary and scientific magazine of the same name founded by Pierre Bayle , which was published in Amsterdam since 1684 . She shares a similar international focus with this predecessor. The journal publishes articles on topics from philosophy, history and literature in several European languages. In addition to treatises on this wide range of topics, there are also source editions . Smaller contributions are listed under the rubric Miscellanea and book reviews as well as news with conference reports, project announcements and other things appear under the rubric Forum . Numerous international scholars such as Gustavo Costa , Marc Fumaroli , Eugenio Garin , Henri Gouhier , Paul Oskar Kristeller , Paul Raabe and Joseph Burney Trapp helped found the magazine in 1981 by Paul Dibon and Tullio Gregory .
