The Nouvelliste vaudois (Vaudois Novellist) was a Swiss magazine in the canton of Vaud .

The magazine was founded in 1822 under the title "L'Ami de la vérité: journal du canton de Vaud" (The Friend of Truth - Journal of the Canton of Vaud) by the bookseller and later Lausanne State Councilor Henri Fischer . From 1824 it took up the name of the earlier "Nouvelliste vaudois et étranger", which was founded in 1798 and banned in 1804. It initially appeared twice a week, from 1836 under Henri Druey fought against the political order established in the cantons as part of the Restoration and campaigned for public freedom and a federal constitution , which was not implemented until 1848.

The magazine is ascribed an important role in the convening of a constitutional council and the liberal revolution in 1830 in the canton of Vaud. The newspaper became the party organ of the radical party (parti radical) around 1845 and introduced paid advertisements in 1846. In 1848 Louis-Henri Delarageaz acquired the magazine. From 1849 it appeared three times a week and from 1856 on every weekday under the new name "Nouvelliste vaudois et journal suisse". From 1891 it became the party journal of the Liberals (parti libéral vaudois) (today part of FDP.Die Liberals ) under the title "Nouvelliste vaudois: journal libéral démocratique" . It was discontinued in 1914.
