The ruin occupies an area of one and a half hectares. The fortifications are 100 to 300 meters long. This made Fürchtenberg one of the largest castles in Moravia . Remains of the castle and outer bailey have been preserved, especially the stump of the collapsed keep and the palace .
The ruin is now owned by Karl von Mornstein- Zierotin .
