In this “Pete Smith Specialty” small and tiny things are shown in close-up shots. So you can see the clockwork of a wristwatch, a cat's tongue, mosquito larvae, a praying mantis, a fly's eye, both ends of a caterpillar, a newly hatched hummingbird and a snake's eye. In the case of mosquitoes, a series of images is shown in time-lapse from the mosquito larva to the fully grown insect. The narrator also explains why it is so difficult to catch a fly.
