News are distributed primarily via (social) media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, apps and Twitter. The forms of presentation and information differ in text, images or (live) videos. Since 1989, ANC-NEWS-TELEVISION GmbH, founded by Christa Anhuth in Essen, has been supplying national TV channels such as WDR , N24 and the RTL Group channels with current TV pictures and original sounds from various locations from and around North Rhine-Westphalia. With the news medium "nrw-aktuell.tv" the agency disseminates current news (pictures) directly to private users. The domain “nrw-aktuell.tv” redirects directly to the Facebook presence, which is mainly used by the editors to distribute news. There is no connection with the former regional TV channels NRW.TV or tv.nrw . The widespread reports often relate to current reports and so-called “police and fire brigade topics” or “blue light messages” in North Rhine-Westphalia or topics with a corresponding regional reference. The editors and authors of ANC-NEWS-TELEVISION GmbH obtain the information, photos and videos for searches directly from the police authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia or via the news portal "ots" of the German press agency (dpa) subsidiary "news-aktuell GmbH" ".
YouTube
For the presence on YouTube, typical news clips are published for special and important events, most of which (including intro) have a maximum length of 2:00 minutes. Representatives or press spokesmen for the security authorities such as the police and fire brigade are used as voice-overs in order to publish as promptly as possible, without extra dubbing. Most of the clips are there, as YouTube partners, monetized with advertising.
Smartphone apps
Since January 2014, news has also been distributed via apps for Android and Apple smartphones. These are available free of charge from the Google Play Store and the Apple iTunes App Store. The content and timing of the messages are synchronized with the Facebook page. The app was developed by the software developer Tobit.Software from Ahaus , who also provides the app with updates. The messages are monetized via ads.

The verified Facebook presence has a reach of “likes” for the page in total from 186,973 people, 165,907 users have subscribed to the page. (Status: May 17, 2018) The highest reach was achieved by a people wanted clip (“Robber attacks young people with knife”) from July 22, 2016 with 7.6 million users and 5.1 million video views.
The YouTube page has a reach of 14,328 subscribers with a total of 26,293,975 views of all 509 videos. (Status: May 17, 2018) On Twitter (1675 followers, May 17, 2018), the messages on the Facebook page are usually linked automatically.
nrw-aktuell.tv as an app in the Google Play Store has been installed more than 17,048 times by users since it was published in January 2014.
