Nunciatura Apostólica

The Nunciatura Apostólica is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo . It serves as the seat of the Apostolic Nunciature in Montevideo .

The building, erected in the 20th century, is located on the border of the Barrios Cordón and Pocitos on Bulevar Artigas 1270 between Guaná and Chaná streets . The architects Gonzalo Vázquez Barrière and Rafael Ruano Zubillaga (1891–1961) were responsible for the construction. While the building was originally designed as a residential building, it now houses the Apostolic Nunciature in Montevideo, whose Apostolic Nuncio has been Anselmo Guido Pecorari (* 1946) since 2008 .

During his Uruguay Trips 1987 and 1988 was Pope John Paul II. Housed in this building.
