Nuraghe Binzas

The Nuraghe Binzas (also known as the “Nuraghe Culzu” of Padria) is located near the hill of San Giuseppe, near Padria in the province of Sassari in Sardinia .

It is a simple, frustoconical tholos or monotower nuraghe ( Italian "Monotorre" ) made of roughly hewn basalt blocks . The trapezoidal entrance is covered by a mighty architrave surmounted by a rectangular relief window. A wide corridor with a staircase on the right and a guard cell on the left leads to the round chamber with a niche on the right. On the southwest side of the nuraghe there are straight walls that hook onto the outside of the tower. Several rectangular structures are visible in front of the entrance.
