Nuray Şahin

Nuray Şahin (* 1974 in Tunceli , Turkey ) is a Kurdish-German film director, screenwriter and actress.

Life

She studied film directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb) in Berlin . Her main subjects are directing and scriptwriting, but Şahin occasionally also works as an actress in front of the camera.

Her short film "The Last Patrone" ran in competition at the Berlinale in 2000 and was nominated for the Peace Prize. Your graduation film Follow the Spring! (2004) with Pegah Ferydoni , a German-Zaza immigration melodrama, premiered in London and received the audience award at its German premiere at the 2004 Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival .
