Nuray Lale

Nuray Lale (born March 28, 1962 in Akcurun , Turkey ) is a German - Turkish writer . Her fields of work are poetry, prose and literary translation - with Düş sarayim (2004) she also published a novel .

In 2004, Lale's translations of Şirin Aydın's Turkish-language poetry into German were also published in book form. The author, who has also translated numerous classical Turkish-language poets into German , will translate a series of Heinrich Heine's poems into Turkish in the 2006 Heine year .

Lale, who came to Germany in 1979 as part of the family reunification , pursues the author's reading and appeared repeatedly at the Festival of Cultures at Bielefeld University , where she studied health sciences, with readings of her texts or transcriptions.

After graduating in Bielefeld (2001) , the trained pedagogue and psychologist ( University of Düsseldorf ) founded an institute for health promotion and psychosocial counseling under her name, which the statutory health insurance companies refused to pay and which she therefore had to give up after just one year. Lale is currently a full-time translator and columnist for the local press .
