The Nurulla Mosque (also Nurullah ; Russian Нурулла ; formerly Seventh Cathedral Mosque , Heubasar Mosque : Tatar Печән Базары мәчете, trans . Peçän Bazari mäçete ; russ Сенная мечеть /. Sennaya , Bazar mosque , Younis Mosque , the main mosque , White Mosque etc.) is a mosque in Kazan , the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia .

It was from 1845 to 1849 through donations from the merchant Ğ. M. Yunısov and built according to the design of AK Loman. The mosque is two-story, has a hall with a dome and a three-story cylindrical minaret over the southern entrance. The ornaments of the mosque are similar to those of the medieval Volga Bulgarians and those in use in the Middle East . In 1929 the original minaret was destroyed; Until 1992 the mosque was used for apartments and offices, after which it was renamed Nurullah and was used again for ritual purposes. In the years 1990 to 1995 a restoration took place under RW Bilalov, during which the minaret was also rebuilt.
