Nutli Hüschi
The Nutli Hüschi (the sch is pronounced as a sound) in Klosters in Prättigau in Graubünden is an old Walser house set up as a village museum .
Surname
The name is made up of (Christian) Nutli , the builder of the house in 1565, and Hüschi , the Prättigau dialect word for small house .
history
Nutli Hüschi was used as a residential building until the middle of the 19th century. With the rise of Klosters to a tourist destination, it was given up and restored as a museum. In 1996 a stable was added in the original Walser style .
Exhibitions
As a permanent exhibition, the wooden house presents furniture, tools and toys from the 16th century after the Reformation in Klosters to the early modern times of the 18th century. There is also an annual special exhibition.
