Nuts (chocolate bar)
Nuts ([ nʌts ], English for "nuts") is a brand for a chocolate bar manufactured by Nestlé . In addition to the usual ingredients, whole hazelnuts are also used, which are otherwise not found in such bars. Nuts was introduced in the Netherlands in 1950 and came to Germany in 1951 under the slogan Nuts hat’s . The manufacturer was taken over by Rowntree Mackintosh in 1979 and passed with this to Nestlé in 1988. In 2000 the packaging design was changed. Some of the bars sold in Germany are made in the Czech Republic .

Sizes
Around March 2010, the bars had been reduced. Before, the normal bars had a weight of 50 g; the version Kingsize 70 g, then 42 g (reduction by 16%) or 65 g (reduction by 7%). The prices per bar were not reduced to the same extent.
The 17.5 g “Nuts Mini” introduced in 1986 are no longer available.
However, the 42 g version has now been reduced to the snack size of 30 g , at least in the multipack, so that the multipack now contains 30 g less for the same price, despite the expansion from 5 to 6 bars - another hidden price increase .
advertising
There was a German-language promotional song by the Botho Lucas Choir in the style of the hit with the title Nuts hat’s from 1973.
In Germany, Nestlé no longer advertises nuts heavily and, according to a Tagesspiegel report from 2002, it is considered a product that is slowly being phased out.
