Nyakyusa-Ngonde (own name in Tanzania Ikinyakyusa , in Malawi Ikingonde ; without class prefix Nyakyusa , Ngonde , Konde ) is a Bantu language and the language of the Nyakyusa people . It belongs to the Guthrie Zone M31.
It is spoken in Malawi and Tanzania from the northern end of Lake Malawi to the southern edge of the city of Mbeya . It has around 1.1 million speakers, 800,000 of them in Tanzania.
