Nyayo Motor Corporation was an automobile manufacturer from Kenya , based in Nairobi .

The company initially started as a government project under the leadership of President Daniel Arap Moi . In 1986 he had commissioned the University of Nairobi to develop a car model
In 1990 or 1991 the first vehicles were ready. One was presented at the Kasarani Sports Complex in 1991 .
National Machining Complex continued development. For this purpose machines were bought and a factory was built. Series production did not take place.
In December 2000 the company was dissolved. In February 2003 investors were still being sought.
A total of five vehicles were built.
Models
The only model was the Pioneer . Illustrations show four-door sedans with notchbacks and a pick-up . The top speed was 120 km / h.
