OGLE-TR-182 is a spectral class G star in the constellation Carina, about 13,000 light years from Earth . With an apparent brightness of 16.8 mag, it can no longer be seen with the naked eye, even under optimal observation conditions. The star is accompanied by an exoplanet named OGLE-TR-182b , which orbits it once in 3.98  days . The mass of the exoplanet corresponds roughly to the mass of Jupiter and the distance between the two celestial bodies approx. 0.05 astronomical units .
