OMEGA transmission mast Trelew

The OMEGA Trelew transmission tower was a transmission tower 40 km north of Trelew , Argentina . He was the highest ever in South America built building . It was a 366 meter high, guyed steel lattice mast , insulated from earth , which was used to emit transmission signals for the OMEGA navigation method in the long-wave range .

The transmission mast to the west of the Argentine national road 3 acted as "Station F" of the OMEGA system and was built from 1973 to 1976.
