ORP Orzeł is a submarine of the Polish Navy .

The boat belongs to the Russian Kilo class (Project 877E). Since the boat is the only Polish submarine of its type, the ship class of the boat is also known as the Orzeł class.

The boat was developed by the planning office CKB MT Rubin and built under the project name Warszawianka by the Sudomech shipyard in Leningrad (now the New Admiralty Shipyard).

The Orzeł entered service on April 29, 1986 and was named after the Orzeł submarine that served in the Polish Navy during World War II .

The boat is still in use to this day. The current commander is "kmdr ppor." Andrzej Ogrodnik.
