The Orzeł class was a Polish submarine - class . The four boats of the Soviet Project 613 (whiskey class) were added to the Polish Navy in the first half of the 1960s and decommissioned and scrapped in the 1980s .

The name of the type boat goes back to the Orzeł boat used during World War II .
