Obdulio Trasante , full name Obdulio Eduardo Trasante Molina , (born April 20, 1960 in Juan Lacaze , Uruguay ) is a former Uruguayan football player .
Player career
Club career
The defender played after his move from Peñarol de Juan Lacaze from 1980 to 1984 at Central Español , where he was champion of the Segunda División in 1983 and Uruguayan champion the following year. From 1985 to 1987 he was under contract with Peñarol . There he won two more Uruguayan championship titles in 1985 and 1986 and the Copa Libertadores in 1987 . He also played in Brazil in 1988 for Gremio and the following year for the Colombian club Deportivo Cali before returning to Peñarol in 1990 and finally to Central Español in 1990-1992.
National team
Trasante was a member of the Uruguayan national team , for which he played five internationals from his debut on June 19, 1987 to December 14, 1988. He didn't score a goal. In 1987 he won the Copa America as part of the Uruguayan squad .

After his career as a player, Trasante is now a coach and held this position at Central Español.
