Manor house

There is a former manor house on Leuzenberger Straße. It was built from scratch in 1627 by Bonaventura Furtenbach on Reichenschwand and Oberndorf based on an inscription on the gable facade . The client came from a family from Allgäu, who had made money through long-distance trade in textiles, spices and salt and who can be traced back to Nuremberg since Bonaventure I. Furtenbach (1498–1564) . The older Bonaventura is considered to be the founder of the Nuremberg line, was ennobled by Emperor Charles V, was quickly able to marry into the Nuremberg ruling class (by marriage with the Holzschuher, among others), in 1530 acquired the eponymous Reichenschwand and until 1535 the goods in Oberndorf. In his will in 1563 he rededicated the rule Reichenschwand with the estates of Oberndorf and Leuzenberg to a Fideikommißgut that his descendants were "neither allowed to sell nor forgive" and that remained in the hands of the family until the beginning of the 19th century. Jakob Wilhelm von Furtenbach was born in the manor house in Oberndorf in 1702 and was supposed to establish the so-called "second Reichenschwander line". 100 years later, his son Jobst Wilhelm von Furtenbach sold the small castle with a few accessories for 3,500 guilders to the farmer Johann Deinzer, who converted it back into a farm. The farm is still owned by the Deinzer family today.
