Oberpfalz TV (also: OTV ) is a regional broadcaster based in Amberg . The OTV program is broadcast in the districts of Amberg-Sulzbach , Schwandorf , Neustadt an der Waldnaab , Tirschenreuth , Neumarkt idOPf. (northern part) and in the independent cities of Amberg and Weiden fed into the cable.
Since 2002, Oberpfalz TV has also been available on Astra Digital under the broadcast name ONTV - Digitales Fernsehen für Oberpfalz and Niederbayern. Since December 4, 2012, OTV has had a program slot that it only has to share with TVA Regensburg . The transmission times via satellite have been extended accordingly.
OTV is particularly known for its popular magazine, which was awarded the “Regiostar” in 2008.
The digitization of the station was completed at the beginning of April 2010. Since then, OTV has also been broadcasting in the 16: 9 aspect ratio (before digitization, it was still in 4: 3 and 4: 3 letterbox).
