The Oberschule am Elsengrund was a grammar school in the Berlin district of Mahlsdorf in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district with around 750 students and 50 teachers.
history
Founded in 1983 as the 23rd polytechnic high school in the Hellersdorf district during the GDR , the school became the 5th comprehensive school after the fall of the Berlin Wall . After this comprehensive school moved to Berlin-Hellersdorf , the 5th grammar school was finally opened here on August 1, 1993 . Since September 12, 1997, the school was called Oberschule am Elsengrund - Gymnasium.
The school closed in 2009 and was merged with the Otto-Nagel-Gymnasium in Berlin-Biesdorf .
The grammar school was one of the model schools of the Senate-funded project Pedagogical School Development (PSE).
