Supreme Council for National Defense

The Supreme Council for National Defense ( Romanian Consiliul Suprem de Apărare a Țării, CSAT ) is a body created by the Romanian Constitution adopted in 1991 . Activities relating to the defense of the country and national security are to be uniformly organized and coordinated there.

The President of the Board is the President of the Republic , while the Vice-President is the Prime Minister of Romania. Other members include several ministers, the directors of the secret services, representatives of the military , a security advisor to the president and a secretary.
