Obizzo III. from Este

Obizzo III. d'Este (* July 14, 1294 ; † March 20, 1352 ) from the Este family was lord of Ferrara from 1335 and of Modena from 1336 .

Obizzo was a son of Aldobrandino II. D'Este († 1326). He was married to Giacoma Pepoli, daughter of Romeo Pepoli , who died on March 3, 1341 , in his first - childless - marriage since May 1317 . In his second marriage, he married Lippa Ariosto on November 27, 1347, the daughter of Giacomo Ariosto and his long-time maitress, who died the following day.
