OPK Oboronprom ( Russian ОПК Оборонпром , English Oboronprom United Industrial Corporation ) is a Russian investment company. Oboronprom is a 100% subsidiary of Rostec .
history
The consortium was founded in 2002 to form a Russian counterweight to the European EADS . The merger of the manufacturers Mil and Kamow is intended to compete with the Franco-German manufacturer Eurocopter, especially on the world market for helicopters .
