Ockfener Bockstein

The Ockfener Bockstein is a vineyard of the local church Ockfen in the growing area Mosel , area Saar .

Vineyard

The 53 hectare vineyard is located on the Ockfener Bach , a tributary of the Saar , directly above Ockfen in a south-southwestern orientation. The floor is made of slate . The site is almost exclusively planted with Riesling . The Ockfener Bockstein is a first location of the VDP and approved for large plants of the Bernkasteler Ring .
