The Odeon-Lichtspielhaus is a listed building in Heidelberg .

It was built in 1910/11 by the architects Heinrich Kumpf and Carl Wolf and was the first building in Heidelberg that was specially built for a movie theater . The cinema was up to its task in 1971 on the ground floor and the main floor was a cafe. After the cinema was closed, shops were opened.

The three-story house is located in the western half of Hauptstrasse , the most important street in Heidelberg's old town . The representative neoclassical sandstone facade has five window axes, which are divided by Ionic columns . Between the first and second floors there are reliefs depicting the arts. On the mansard roof there is a tower on which Heidelberg's first neon sign used to be .
