Giovanni di Domenico

Giovanni di Domenico (born July 20, 1977 in Rome ) is an Italian improvisation musician ( piano , composition ).

Live and act

Di Domenico grew up in Africa ( Libya , Cameroon , Algeria ); the influences of this childhood and youth are also reflected in his music. He worked u. a. with Nate Wooley , Chris Corsano , Arve Henriksen , Jim O'Rourke , Alexandra Grimal , Tetuzi Akiyama , João Lobo and Toshimaru Nakamura . In 2013 he recorded the album Iruman with Akira Sakata, which was released on the Portuguese label Mbari. Di Domenico lives in Brussels .
