The Odfeld is a plateau in the Holzminden district in the Weserbergland in Lower Saxony . It is located in the northeast of the municipality of Negenborn between the Amelungsborn monastery and Eschershausen . In the north and east the Odfeld is dominated by the Vogler and the Homburgwald , in the south it borders on the Hooptal. It is at an altitude of 230 to 280  m above sea level. NHN and is mainly used agriculturally as arable land, some areas are also forested. The origin of the name Odfeld is not clear. The folk etymological derivation of the Latin campus odini ' Odin's field' is certainly wrong. The derivation of od 'property' is more likely .

The writer Wilhelm Raabe , who comes from the western town of Eschershausen, named his novel Das Odfeld after the Odfeld. This takes place in the Amelungsborn monastery.
