The Odzi is a river in Zimbabwe

course

The river has its source in the province of Manicaland , in the mountains of the Nyanga National Park . It flows south west of the town of Mutare , then through Hot Springs and the Odzi Gorge, to flow into the Save directly behind this at Birchenough Bridge .

The river carries a lot of sediment to the valley. Various projects try to stop this fertile soil and make it usable for arable land. Various dams are used to irrigate fields. One problem is the contaminated water of abandoned tunnels and their dumps that the Mutare river carries with it into the Odzi.
