The Mutare is a small river in Zimbabwe .

The river flows through the gold fields of Massi Kessi north of the town of Mutare . It flows into the Odzi .
environment
Gold was washed up in it during the colonial days. Today, its polluted waters are an environmental problem that wash the pollutants from abandoned tunnels and their heaps and carry them down to the valley.
