Jörg Keckstein

Jörg Keckstein (born September 9, 1950 in Mauthen ( Carinthia )) is an Austrian gynecologist and obstetrician .

Live and act

Keckstein completed his studies in medicine at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1970 to 1976 . He then worked as an assistant doctor at the gynecological clinic of the University of Ulm (1976/1977), the municipal gynecological clinic Heilbronn (1978/1979), and from 1979 to 1984 again at the university gynecological clinic in Ulm . After completing his specialist training in 1984, he continued to work there from 1985 to 1993 as senior physician and later as executive senior physician. In 1990 , Keckstein completed his habilitation at Ulm University.

In 1993, Jörg Keckstein moved to the gynecological clinic Dr. Krüsmann in Munich . In 1996 he was appointed adjunct professor at Ulm University. In the same year, he moved to the Villach Regional Hospital in Carinthia as Primarius in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics . Here he heads the first Austrian endometriosis center of level III of the European Endometriosis League. In October 2011, Keckstein was honored with the Golden Scope of the Gynecological Endoscopy Working Group of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics .
