The Offene Kanal Weinstrasse , or OK Weinstrasse for short , is a German regional television broadcaster. It is an amalgamation of the Open Channels (OK) Neustadt, Landau and Haßloch. The three OK studios have been operating the joint OK Weinstrasse broadcaster since May 2012 as part of a broadcast cooperation . The common distribution area extends along the Weinstrasse and in the region from Grünstadt to Wörth am Rhein and from Ramberg to Böhl-Iggelheim .

The merger relates exclusively to the broadcasting platform, the three sponsoring associations (Offener Kanal Neustadt / Weinstrasse, Offener Kanal Haßloch / Böhl-Iggelheim and Offener Kanal Landau) remain independent, designing a joint program from the contributions of the residents of the new broadcasting area and appear under the joint brand Offener Kanal Weinstrasse .

The background for the merger is the digitization of the cable networks by Kabel Deutschland , whereby in Rhineland-Palatinate smaller sub-networks have been combined into new and larger cable networks, one of which is the Weinstrasse network .
