Offside is a Swedish magazine . The monthly trade magazine is dedicated to football culture .

background

The magazine was first published in the spring of 2000 by Mattias Göransson and Tobias Regnell . Initially published in pocket format , the magazine switched to a larger format in 2002. In the following year, the two founders received the Stora journalistpriset for Offside .

Offside reports on stories about football and its fans, whereby the focus is less on results than on fan and football culture. In addition to Swedish football, this also applies to international football; for example, there are reports on FC St. Pauli or Brazilian talents in the magazine. Articles by renowned national and international authors such as Simon Kuper , Sid Lowe , Phil Ball , Ronald Reng , Åke Edwardson , Peter Birro and Sture Dahlström are also published , but football players such as Henrik Rydström , Anders Limpar and Tobias Hysén also have their say.

In addition to the magazine, football books have been published by the associated publisher since 2004, and t-shirts and DVDs are also available in the internet shop.
