Oficina de Planeamiento y Presupuesto
The Oficina de Planeamiento y Presupuesto (OPP) is the national budget and planning office of Uruguay .
The state body created in 1967 as a result of the constitutional reform passed on November 27, 1966 on the basis of Article 230 there, which represents the central national planning unit, is housed in offices in the Torre Ejecutiva . As an advisory body, it is under the patronage of the President. It is headed by a commission and a director appointed by the President. Gabriel Frugoni has been the director of the OPP since March 1, 2010, succeeding Martín Dibarboure .
The tasks of the OPP include planning both the country's development and its international cooperation. Furthermore, she then oversees the implementation of these plans by commissioning organizations to carry them out and is also responsible for an analysis of the planning transformation to be carried out.
