The Ohligser FC 06 (officially: Ohligser Fußballclub 06 eV ) was a sports club from the Solingen district of Ohligs . The first soccer team played for a year in the highest amateur league in the Lower Rhine region.

history

The association was founded in 1906 in the then still independent town of Ohligs. The team played in the 1920s in the second highest division and were there in 1928 runner-up behind the Cronenberger SC . In 1931 the team rose to the then first-class Berg / Mark district league . The penultimate place in the table was not enough to keep the league.

After the end of the Second World War , a Solingen city championship was played in the 1945/46 season, which the OFC won 6: 3 against VfL Wald . This qualified the team for the Berg / Mark district league , from which they promptly relegated. This was followed by a direct return to the state league , which was introduced in the meantime , the highest amateur league on the Lower Rhine at the time. The team finished eighth in the 1948/49 season.

On September 3, 1949, Ohligser FC 06 merged with VfR Ohligs and VfL Ohligs 1912 to form Union Ohligs . This became the SG Union Solingen in 1974 . The OFC Solingen was founded on December 7th 2010, which sees itself in the tradition of the Ohligser FC 06. On June 25, 2018, the club was renamed 1. FC Solingen .
