Oidoxie (play on words with Oi! And Eudoxie , from gr . Eudoxía : "good reputation", "correct judgment") is a German right-wing rock band from Dortmund .

Band history

The band, founded in October 1995 by Marko Gottschalk, appeared on their first albums with titles such as Weiß & Rein , or Treue und Ehre openly National Socialist . A song on the album Schwarze Zukunft says: “We play right-wing rock [...] for the fatherland. […] We break the chains and free ourselves. We fight for Germany, and we stick to it. [...] And keep screaming: Heil, Heil! ”In other songs they conjure up the race war or sing, as if in glory and honor, about the wars of the German armed forces.

Since the album Schwarze Zukunft was indexed and the public prosecutor obtained a confiscation order, they have been more moderate in their texts in order not to conflict with the law, at least in Germany, but outside of Germany they still openly pay homage to National Socialism. For example, they are featured on the fifth edition of the right-wing Swedish video production War Reporter with a cover version of the swastika song by the band Radikahl , which is banned in Germany and which says: "If Adolf Hitler wins the Nobel Prize (...) hoists the red flag the swastika ”. In addition to interviews and other band appearances, scenes are cut on the video in which pictures from concentration camps are shown, blacks and Jews are shot and the murder of the disabled is depicted with caricatures.

The members of the band, who belong to the spectrum of the free comradeships , maintain close contacts with the organization Blood and Honor , which is banned in Germany, and the right-wing rock band Weisse Wölfe , whose drummer was at times Marko Gottschalk.

In an interview with the Hammerskin organ Hass Attacke , guitarist Stefan named Blood and Honor founder Ian Stuart Donaldson and Rudolf Hess as role models for the entire band. Among other things, they were the co-organizers of two neo-Nazi demonstrations in Bochum and Soest , where they performed with their band. Again and again the group gave 18 concerts under the name Combat . On April 20, 2018, the studio album We remain uncomfortable was released.

Criminal proceedings

At the beginning of 2005, the Dortmund public prosecutor brought charges against oidoxic singer Marko Gottschalk and two other members of the oidoxic offshoot Weisse Wölfe at the lay judge's court in Dortmund for inciting people and glorifying violence. On November 7, 2007, the proceedings ended with an acquittal for the three defendants, as it could not be proven which band members were actually involved in inciting recordings.

Oidoxie Streetfighting Crew

The Oidoxie Streetfighting Crew was founded around 2003 from members of the band and the Dortmund camaraderie . The terrorist organization, against which the Office for the Protection of the Constitution is investigating, is accused of having procured weapons and trained for the fight. The Combat 18 cell, which ceased operations in the spring of 2006, had its own anthem with the terror machine . A suspected member of the Oidoxie Streetfighting Crew, Robin Sch., Close pen pal of Beate Zschäpe , was heard before the NSU investigative committee in Düsseldorf at the beginning of March 2016 .
