Ojārs Siliņš (also called OJ ) (born July 20, 1993 in Rīga , Latvia ) is a Latvian basketball player . In the 2016/17 season he was under contract with Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany . He has played in the Latvian national basketball team since 2016 .
Career
From 2010 to 2016 played for Siliņš Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia , initially for the youth department, and later with the seniors in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A .
At the beginning of October 2016, Siliņš switched to Telekom Baskets Bonn in the German basketball league . There he received a one month contract to replace the injured Kenneth Horton. At the beginning of November, his contract was extended until the end of the season.
In the summer of 2016, Siliņš made his debut in the Latvian national basketball team as part of the qualifying tournament for the 2016 Olympic Games . In three games he scored an average of 7.7 points per game.

In 2013 he became vice European champion . At the EuroChallenge he was champion in 2013/14. In 2015 and 2016 he was Italian runner-up .
