Okyroë , also Okyrrhoë , ( Greek  Ὠκυρόη or Ὠκυρρόη , Latin Ocyrhoë ) is a figure from Greek mythology .

She was the daughter of the centaur Chiron and the nymph Chariklo . She had the gift of prophecy . Zeus turned her into a mare because she had prophesied without permission, and she was given the name Hippe or Hippo. Their story is told in the Metamorphoses of Ovid tells (2, 635-675). The theme of this metamorphosis was also taken up in a lost tragedy by Euripides .
