Olaf Briese

Olaf Briese (born August 16, 1963 in Wittenberge ) is a German cultural scientist with research from the 18th to the 20th century and a private lecturer at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Life

From 1985 to 1990 Briese studied philosophy and literature at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He finished his studies with a diploma in philosophy. This was followed in 1994 with a doctorate on subject gain versus trust in substance. On immortality thinking in young Germany. From 1997 to 2001 Briese worked as a research assistant at the cultural studies seminar at the Humboldt University. There, Olaf Briese completed his habilitation in 2002 with the work Anxiety in the Times of Cholera . From 2002 he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Religious Studies at the Free University of Berlin , where he took on a substitute professorship in 2006/2007 and 2009. In 2009/2010 he was a substitute professor at the Institute for Cultural Studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Briese works as a private lecturer at this institute.
