Olav Sepp (born May 5, 1969 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian chess player. He has held the title of International Master since 1994 .

successes

He was Estonian champion six times (1989, 1991–1995), several times he landed in the top three: 2nd place 1997, 3rd place 1998, 2nd place 1999 and 2000, 3rd place 2001, 3rd place 2005 (shared second Place, but lost tiebreak), and 2nd place in 2006 (shared first place, but lost tiebreak). He represented Estonia at the Chess Olympiads eight times : 1992 , 1994 , 1996 , 2000 , 2004 , 2006 , 2008 and 2010 . He took part in European team championships four times (1992, 2003, 2005 and 2007) . In the European Club Cup , Olav Sepp took part three times with the Estonian clubs Paide MK and Pärnu MK and twice with the Finnish club Etelä-Vantaan Shakki .
