Olavi Virta

Oskari Olavi "Ola" Virta (born February 27, 1915 in Sysmä , † July 14, 1972 in Tampere ) was a well-known Finnish tango and pop singer, he is considered one of the most important representatives of Finnish tango .

Live and act

He made his first record in 1939 and quickly became known. He interpreted international hits and was significantly involved in the development of an independent Finnish light music. The piece Hopeinen kuu (Silver Moon / Guarda che luna) was voted the best Finnish hit of all time in 2006.
