Olavsvern

Olavsvern is a former submarine bunker owned by NATO and the Norwegian Navy . It is located south of Tromsø on European route 8 at the entrance to the Ramfjord .

The 25,000 square meter underground facility was opened in 1967, closed in 2009 and sold to a private company in 2013. It is currently used by Russian ships.
