The Ramfjord is a fjord in the municipality of Tromsø in the Norwegian province of Troms og Finnmark . It is an eastern branch of the Balsfjord and is about 15 kilometers long.

The entrance is in the Balsfjord near Ramfjordnes, from where the fjord extends first to the north and then to the east. At Fagernes the fjord divides into two arms: the short and flat Nordbotn, which extends about one kilometer to the north, and the significantly longer and deeper Sørbotn, which continues about six kilometers to the south.

At the head of the Sørbotn, two rivers flow into the fjord, from the east the Saltdalselva and from the south the Sørbotnelva. Because the Ramfjord has an entrance threshold and because of the fresh water supply from rivers, the inner parts of the fjord are covered with ice in winter and a popular place for ice fishing .

The European route 8 runs along the eastern and northern sides of the fjord, where the village of Ramfjord is also located with mostly single-family row houses. The Troms Provincial Road 294 runs along the west and south sides of the fjord and the settlement is thinner and, above all, agricultural. At the entrance to the fjord at Ramfjordnes is the Olavsvern military base .
