The Oldenburger Wall is a Slavic ring wall that is located in the Schleswig-Holstein municipality of Horst in the Duchy of Lauenburg .
The rampart is located between Neu-Horst and Lehmrade on a natural hilltop surrounded by lowlands. Their inner diameter is 60 m. The wall has a height of 7 m on the outside and 3 m on the inside.
Archaeological investigations in 1911 and 1949 found not only animal bones but also pottery fragments from the 8th to early 9th centuries AD. Later geomagnetic analyzes revealed that there were no buildings inside the castle. An unfortified Slavic settlement lay between the castle and Lake Oldenburg .
The Oldenburger Wall is under monument protection as a ground monument .
